When Asana is the better choice

Asana is the better choice if you need a timeline and a Gantt chart already on Starter, time tracking on Advanced and workload management across the whole organisation on Enterprise.2,3 It has iOS and Android apps, an official MCP server and its own CSV importer for moving over from other tools.4,28,29

If your team works in one of Asana’s 14 languages and you need in-depth processes for a large organisation, choose Asana; if the Ukrainian language, risks and AI across all projects at a fixed price matter to you, look at Syntra.

Switching from Asana

Asana exports a project to JSON or CSV,30 and an export of the whole organisation is available on Enterprise+.31 There is no ready-made import from Asana to Syntra: the list of projects can be loaded from Excel (each row becomes a project), and the tasks moved by hand, with the AI from a document or through the Syntra REST API on the Enterprise plan.

The simplest way is to start new projects in Syntra and see the current ones through to the end in Asana.
