Project management for retail chains
Syntra helps retail chains run store openings, loyalty programmes, new system rollouts and marketing campaigns as projects with risks, budgets and owners. The AI assistant gathers the status of every project in the chain, and the Location opening, Software rollout and Marketing campaign templates give a ready plan.
What makes retail projects hard
- Dozens of initiatives in parallel: new stores, a rebrand, a loyalty programme, a new till system — in different teams.
- Dependence on suppliers and inspections that easily shift dates.
- Reports for owners and regional managers are put together by hand.

Example: relaunching a loyalty programme
The demo company tymko.tech is a fictional restaurant chain used in the Syntra screenshots. Marketing relaunches the loyalty programme while IT adds points to the mobile app.
- Two projects, one goal.Loyalty Program Relaunch is run by marketing and Mobile App 3.0 by IT; both sit in the portfolio with deadlines in the same quarter.
- Documents. The tier rules and point values are in the project documents; asked “how many points for the first tier?”, the assistant answers with a link to the file.
- Budget. The budget light of the loyalty project is yellow: 80% spent at 71% progress — the manager sees it on the project card.
- Report.Regional managers get a portfolio PDF instead of a spreadsheet put together by hand.
Good to know
- Syntra does not replace an ERP, stock accounting, a POS or a CRM — it runs the projects around them.
- Connectors to outside systems (Jira, GitHub, Worksection, Creatio), webhooks and the API are on the Enterprise plan.
- There is no Gantt chart.
Questions and answers
Can we run store openings in Syntra?
Yes, the Location opening template has 14 tasks — from the site and the lease to inspections, hiring, the opening stock order and the opening day — and three typical risks. You can edit the template and save it as your own for every next opening.
How do we separate access between departments?
On the Business and Enterprise plans users and projects are split by department, and a restricted project is visible only to its members. The AI assistant respects these boundaries and answers only from what a person is allowed to see.
Is there an integration with our ERP or accounting system?
Syntra has no ready-made connectors to ERP or accounting systems; it has a REST API and signed webhooks (Enterprise plan) to pass project and task events to your systems. Ready-made connectors exist for Jira, GitHub, Worksection and Creatio.
